At the beginning of September, the millionth EPAL QR Euro pallet was produced and delivered. This means that the target for 2024 of producing and delivering one million EPAL Euro pallets with QR codes has already been achieved around 8 months after the market launch in January 2024.

The new "EU Regulation for Deforestation-Free Products" (EUDR) was already adopted on 31.05.2023 and came into force on 29.06.2023.

On 29 June 2024, EPAL's annual General Assembly took place in Rome. The day before, 28 June 2024, the EPAL Board had already made important decisions and planned EPAL's activities in the second half of 2024.

On 16. April 2024, the conference on "Quality and Sustainability of EPAL wood-chip blocks", organized by EPAL, took place in Warsaw. More than 40 representatives of the manufacturers of wood-chip blocks for EPAL pallets and the EPAL testing institutes engaged in discussions about current topics and developments in the production of pallet blocks from wood chips.

Regresa "Snap the pallet". Tras el gran éxito en 2021/22, el 1 de abril de 2024 ha comenzado la segunda edición del gran concurso fotográfico EPAL "Snap the pallet". A partir de ahora y durante 12 semanas, cualquier persona puede subir fotos con palets EPAL en la web del concurso fotográfico y, con un poco de suerte, ganar un premio en metálico.

El pasado 12 de marzo de 2024, EPAL celebró en Barcelona el Simposio Internacional "El palet de madera en España y Europa". Más de 50 participantes, licenciatarios españoles de EPAL, así como representantes de asociaciones españolas y otras asociaciones miembros de EPAL, debatieron sobre temas de actualidad en la industria del embalaje de madera y los palets.

El 1 de enero de 2024, la European Pallet Association e.V. (EPAL) presentó el Euro palet EPAL QR como un nuevo producto del pool abierto de palets EPAL.
